Latest News

Hello to all visiting the Helicopter History website:

The site has been recently updated and is hopefully more user friendly. A second book has been added for sale to the growing list of books on helicopter history. The first book on the Bell 47 Helicopter Story continues to sell quite well. In fact it can be purchased at the reduced price of only $75.00 for all of 2018 plus postage and (GST Tax for Canada only.) This detailed book on the Model 47 is the first to cover all variants of the legacy helicopter manufactured by Bell in the USA. Now is your opportunity to purchase the BEST of the books available in the market place on this iconic helicopter. There has been no complaints from any customers to date about the Bell 47 Book. In fact numerous people have purchased additional copies. Bell 47 Books have been sold across Canada, the USA and overseas.

Available now is my second book on the helicopter history with the Alberta Forestry. This book covers the first use of helicopters on wildfire management in Alberta starting back in 1956. In 1958 the Government of Alberta Department of Lands and Forests purchased their first helicopter a Bell Model 47J for firefighting duties. The fleet was later to grow to three Bell 47J helicopters. Later the Alberta Forest Service changed over to Bell Model 206 Jet Rangers. The new book Alberta Forestry Helicopters in Wildfire Management sells for $29.95 plus postage and (GST Tax for Canada only.) This book is limited to less than 400 copies. Buy it before they are all gone.

Also new will be historical articles on helicopter history covering Canada, the USA and overseas. Plans are for publishing articles on the website  monthly. Watch for exciting changes with the website over the next year.
