The other good news is the publication of the history of helicopters in the Canadian Alberta Forest Service. The new soft cover book will be available in early 2018.The book will cover early use of helicopters on forest fires beginning in 1956 and with the first purchase of a single Bell Model 47J for forest protection work in Alberta in 1958. The story continues into the early 1970s when the Alberta Government sold off their helicopter fleet. Their will be over 100 photos both black and white and color included. Many of the photos have never been seen or published. Look for further information on this important part of aviation history in Canada.
